Tuscany Spa's SUPPORT OUR SOLDIERS drive.

Thanksgiving is a time for us to remember all that we have to be thankful for, our friends, family, co-workers, neighbors. Its also a time to remember our soldiers who are still overseas and can use some encouragement, especially during the holiday season when they are far from home.
So to inspire, encourage and support our soldiers we are having a SUPPORT OUR SOLDIERS drive.

Alison, RN/Esthetician at Tuscany Spa Skin and Body Clinic has sent dozens of care packages to our soldiers this year. Through Books for Soldiers she has sent out health and fitness magazines, urban fiction paperbacks, comic books and more.

We have been so impressed by her dedication that we are going to help her with her next set of care packages. Here are some things we are collecting and ways you can help too.

According to Books for Soldiers the first thing they suggest is to collect funds for postage. Alison gets the special rate but each box is still $15 to ship. We will have little envelopes available at Tuscany Spa if you wish to help with shipping.

We are also collecting magazines. The topics that have been requested include National Geographic, Mens Health and Fitness, Body Building, Maxim, GQ, Popular Mechanics, Cars/Trucks, Game Informer (Gaming) and Tattoos. Old issues are welcome as well, please drop them off at Tuscany Spa Tuesday thru Saturday.

Paperback books are popular. We would love these genres: Action Adventure, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Best Sellers, especially Game of Thrones and Hunger Games, Mysteries, Military Biographies, Inspirational books like 5 Languages of love for soldiers. If you have any of these, new or used - in good condition, we will be happy to accept them.

We are collecting new grooming supplies such as disposable razors, shave cream in a tube, shampoo, body lotion, body powder, foot powder, baby wipes, chapstick/lipbalm, toothpaste, tooth brush, dental floss, sunblock, insect repellant. You get the idea. We would be happy to accept these and send them on.

 Last, but not least, our soldiers love to get cards and letters. They especially love getting letters and drawings from kids, so if your little ones want to help, our soldiers would be delighted to get them.
