4 ways to get that sexy decollete you want

Are you embarrassed to show off your cleavage?

Did you know that your decollete aka upper chest, gets a great deal of sun and environmental exposure. Our clothing often shows off our decollete; v-neck tshirts, boat neck tops and swimsuits. But how often do you treat that area to a little TLC? Are you already seeing dark spots, wrinkles and damage to that area?

In this 2 part series I will cover several ways you can repair the damage to your decollete. In this Part One  i give you  4 at-home steps you can do TODAY. Part Two will go over the more aggressive Spa and Clinical options.

At-Home Repair

Exfoliate

Use an gentle exfoliating product, like glycolic acid, on your decollete nightly. Sensitive skin should use it every other night. This is a good way to start repairing any damage, dark spots and fine lines. It removes excess damaged and dull dead cells by loosening the glue sticking them together.
NOTE: Scrubs are only used twice a week and not too harshly as this is damaging.

Glycolic Acid treatment creams work well to smooth the texture, brighten the skin and improve the appearance fine lines and wrinkles. When glycolic is combined with a hydrating, anti-oxidant base you get 3 benefits in 1 easy step. Try Pelasante Gly 10% Creme.

Rejuvenate

For anti-aging benefits use Retinol or Retin-A products. They work by increasing cell turnover bringing healthy cells to the surface faster. Retinols are less irritating then Retin A or Renova, available from your spa and a good way to beging your anti-aging at-home treatments.
When starting with a Retinols I recommendation to start gradually and build up.
1. The first week only use once, alternating with your glycolic cream.
2. Every 2 weeks add another nightly application until you are using it every night.
Want to take it up a notch further? With your nightly application of Retinol, after it absorbs apply a thin layer of glycolic.

When you use a Retinol with a calming Green tea anti-oxidant it adds anti-aging benefits, prevents the skin irritation that can can happen with Retinol/RetinaA use and makes it possible for even sensitive skins to use Retinol. Try Pelasante Retinol 10X with retinol, green tea, hylauronic acid and caffeine.

Hydrate

A rich moisturizer will help keep your skin smooth and supple. But you don't need a heavy cream to get intense hydration and skin plumping. Using a water-binding hylauronic acid serum will reduce the appearance of dryness induced fine lines and help the skin heal and repair environmental damage.

The our new Ultra-Hydrating Serum it contains a  high concentration of combination of hylauronic acid, PLUS peptides to support collagen production, anti-oxidants to guard against free-radicals and essential mineral complex to moisturize and reduce excess oil. Use a drop for your decollete and another for your face and neck under moisturizers and/or sunscreen.

Protect

When starting with an exfoliating or rejuvenating treatment you need to NEVER FORGET to apply; and reapply when out of doors or swimming, your Sunscreen or to keep it covered up.

The next step in treating the decollete is to get more intensive treatment at the Spa or your doctors office. These stronger treatments I recommend to do after the summer, when we are not spending as much time out of doors and in the sun. I will go over your spa and medical options in the next blog.

Have you noticed any damage to your decollete? Which of these steps do you perform daily? What has worked the best for you?
