What amount of exercise is enough to keep you help stave off the effects of modern society?

3 ways and benefits of a 2 minute walk #SpaWalking |
a. 1 hour a day
b. 30 minutes a day
c. 15 minutes a day
d. 2 minutes an hour
If you chose a, b or c those are excellent ways to improve your health.
But to quickly and easily counter-act the effects of our modern sedentary lifestyle a brief a stroll about the office can make all the difference.
So d is the right answer.
That's right, a quick 2 minute walk every hour. It will stretch your legs, keep your blood flowing and give you a nice mental boost.
Why is this important?
- Studies are finding that sitting all day will kill you faster.
- Every healthy strong senior citizen that I have met was active daily - swimming, dancing.
- Modern society has most of us working in jobs that require sitting at a computer.
- It's hard for many of us to fit in exercise in already busy work and home life.
I've three important ways to incorporate brief walks into your life from this article "Sitting All Day Will Kill You, But A 2-Minute Walk Could Change That".
- Movement is vital to life. Set a timer every hour so you remember to get up for a simple 2 minute walk around your office or jog around the desk.
- Movement is vital to mental health and creativity so walk whenever you need to wake up your sluggish brain.
I figured out one more thing that a 2 minute walk is good for....STUDYING!
As a student I was taught that we retain only the first and last 7 minutes of anything study material. Therefore I suggest every 15 minutes you get up and jog around your desk. Add in a stretch and you are ready to hit the books.
How are you making the 2 minute an hour walk work for you? How did it make you feel?
