Why you will never again forget your sunscreen

ATTENTION: 21 year olds can get SKIN CANCER!!  This is proof that teenage tanning can lead to potentially deadly skin cancer.

This brave young woman, Tawny Willoughby, is sharing her struggles with skin cancer through graphic selfies on her facebook page.

The first time she was diagnosed with skin cancer she was just 21 years old. After 6 years she has had multiple Basal Cell Carcinomas and a Squamous Cell Carcinoma removed.

During her teenage years she tanned four times a week and had a tanning bed in her home. According to Tawny this was true of a lot of her friends as because everyone tanned.

Keep in mind Skin Cancer is a grave concern for anyone that tans whether in an indoor tanning bed or outside under the sun. UV damage is UV damage and tanning beds may not always cause a sunburn but they are still causing harm.

Before you get your next summer "baseline tan", either at a tanning bed session or laying outside, take a look at this image of Tawny and ask yourself:
"Is a tan really worth it?"
